What Is Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) All ABout?



Voice Over Internet Protocol (Voip) is a general term  for technologies used to deliver voice communication over Internet Protocol (IP) networks such as the internet or other packet-switched networks.

VOIP is other wise known as internet telephony, IP telephony, voice over broadband (VoBB), broadband telephony and broadband phone.

VOIP refers to voice messaging applications that are transported via the internet from place to place without having anything to do with public switched telephone network (PSTN)

The basis steps involved in communicating through the internet (VOIP) are: conversion of the analog voice signal to digital format and translation of the signal into internet protocol (IP) packages for transmission of messages over the internet.

So far, it's use has in the world has outweighed the use of broadband internet services. Full phone service VOIP companies provide inbound and outbound calling with Direct Inbound Dialing. Many offer unlimited domestic calling, and some to other countries as well, for a flat monthly fee as well as free calling between subscribers using the same provider
